Robot Glass Handling, Gluing and Loading

The robot picks up the glass from a self-centering clamping and positioning fixture, moves to a fixed glue gun for automatic gluing, and then installs the glass onto the vehicle body. To improve glue bead quality, contact gluing can be used to reduce the impact of glass dimensional errors on the glue bead. A camera system is used for vehicle body positioning; a self-buffering gripper mechanism reduces the impact between the glass and the vehicle body during loading.

Panoramic Sunroof Gluing

Due to the special product process requirements, the sunroof glass cannot be positioned using centering clamping in the longitudinal direction. An NC servo clamping device is designed to position the glass. Gear pump technology controls the glue volume, and an assist device handles the loading, unloading, and installation of the sunroof glass.

Triangle Window Rotary Gluing

To improve cycle time, the triangle window positioning fixture is designed as a four-station rotary configuration: Station 1 for loading; Station 2 for air drying; Station 3 for gluing; Station 4 for manual removal and installation. A quantitative gear pump technology is mainly used to control glue volume. To further improve the gluing cycle time, a quantitative cylinder technology can be used to control the glue volume.
