AVM 360 Camera Calibration System Definition
Through 4 ultra-wide-angle cameras installed at the front, rear, left, and right of the vehicle body, it simultaneously captures images of the vehicle's surroundings. Through “real-time image distortion restoration docking technology” processing is applied to the images for distortion correction, perspective transformation, image stitching, and image enhancement, ultimately forming a seamless and complete panoramic bird's-eye view of the vehicle's surroundings.
The system can not only display the panoramic view but also simultaneously show a single-direction view. Drivers can accurately read the position and distance of obstacles using the reference lines.
AVM 360 Camera Calibration System Function
1. In modern cities, parking environments are becoming increasingly complex. To park quickly and avoid scratches, this panoramic image system that provides 360-degree coverage around the vehicle is an indispensable assistant.
When navigating through old city alleys or narrow roads where you cannot accurately judge the safe passing range, simply activate the AVM panoramic monitoring system. The system reads data from the electric power
steering and cameras, providing the driver with the vehicle's forward trajectory and position reference lines to help judge distances.
2. In addition to helping drivers navigate through narrow sections, the AVM panoramic monitoring system can also help drivers, especially new drivers, solve parking problems.
When parking by the roadside, a moment of inattention can cause the tire to scrape against the curb. Scratching the tire is a minor issue, but causing a flat tire is a real headache. With the AVM system, the driver can easily gauge the distance to front and rear ob
jects, parking spaces, and the vehicle. Even hard-to-see curbs can be clearly viewed on the display showing the distance between the vehicle and the road shoulder for easy parking.
Additionally, the AVM panoramic monitoring system can effectively prevent collisions with low obstacles. Since many low obstacles cannot be seen from the rearview mirror and are difficult for parking sensors to detect,
the AVM panoramic monitoring system becomes even more advantageous. Simply turn on the monitoring display, and the vehicle's surroundings are clear at a glance. Avoiding obstacles is that simple.
AVM 360 Camera Calibration Process
1. Vehicle enters the test station and is aligned;
2. Scan VIN and vehicle model code;
3. Connect OBD plug and perform AVM data reading;
4. After AVM data reading is complete, perform data calculation and AVM calibration;
5. Notify calibration board to return to position, write AVM calibration data back to ECU, and download FLASH program;
6. MES stores inspection results, save LOG and data locally;
7. Disconnect diagnostic OBD plug and prepare for the next inspection;
After testing is complete, the operator disconnects the test terminal from the vehicle; simultaneously, the test report is sent to the product quality computer, and any fault code results will be printed as a report. The operator attaches the test report to the vehicle data sheet.
Project Execution
Shanghai LeaderSoft Information Technology Co., Ltd. (LeaderSoft) will strictly follow the customer company's specifications and the strict standards for 360 calibration projects to deliver a turnkey solution and integration work for the 360-degree panoramic image calibration system to the customer.
To meet the customer's panoramic image calibration requirements, LeaderSoft generally customizes professional calibration sites, calibration target boards, and vehicle aligners. Custom development is conducted in lighting, vehicle aligners, target board precision control, site reflectivity, vehicle calibration control, factory eCATS, and FIS communication to meet various customer requirements. By selecting appropriate light sources and adjusting the height and angle of the light source to produce non-uniform lighting, this ensures that light does not directly shine on the camera lens through mirror reflection if the on-site environment cannot meet the requirements.
